Loughborough CofE Primary School’s heating and hot water had previously been provided by two ageing atmospheric boilers. The units had reached the end of their service life and spare parts were no longer available, which made ongoing maintenance impractical and reliability a major concern. The school needed a modern solution that would deliver consistent performance and improved energy efficiency, without causing disruption to students or staff during installation.

Ashwell Maintenance installed two Evo S 120kW condensing boilers mounted on a frame kit with a low loss header, alongside a WaterMaster 70 Evo gas-fired water heater. The new equipment was installed within the school’s existing plant room at the front of the building, allowing for a smooth upgrade with minimal interference to day-to-day operations. Thanks to the simple configuration and intuitive design of the units, commissioning was completed quickly, ensuring the system was fully functional in time for the new school term.
 

The Evo S condensing boilers and WaterMaster Evo gas-fired water heater were selected for their compact footprint and ease of integration. The WaterMaster’s high recovery rate was also particularly beneficial for the school environment, supporting consistent hot water availability in kitchens and hand washing areas, even during peak usage.
